WhatsApp business account users will now be able to share profile link, new interface will be available soon

The WhatsApp business app is one of the most popular messaging apps, this change has appeared in the new WhatsApp for Android beta version, it can be made available for iOS soon. At present, both WhatsApp Business users and regular users can share profiles through QR codes.

WhatsApp Business application allows businesses to connect with customers by using tools to automate and quickly respond to messages. The new profile link sharing feature will allow users to share their profile page with other people via a link. This link can be used in chat messages or websites which will make it easier for clients to find out how they can contact the business.

The WhatsApp profile link preview also shows the business name, email address, phone number and location along with additional information like a website address if provided. It also provides users with an option to save the contact number directly from the link preview itself by tapping on the "Add Contact" button.

However, WhatsApp will not allow businesses to edit existing profile links once created as it will remain static until the business chooses update their profile details. It is not yet clear when this feature will be made available for all users but it is expected to be rolled out soon as it has been spotted in the beta version of Android.

You can now get your profile link and share it with anyone. 

Simply go to the Menu > Settings > Business Settings > Share Profile. Check out the screenshots below:

You can also share by sending a message from another app. All you need is the link—no need to save any numbers.

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to share profile links with each other. A report by WABetaInfo has pointed out the feature, which is currently under development. In addition to providing the ability to copy profile links, the Share Profile section also includes a Share Link option to allow users to share links to profiles. The report states that it will be available only for WhatsApp Business accounts. Other users will not be able to use it.

While the ETA feature

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to share files up to 2 GB in size.

That's according to a tweet by WABetaInfo, which also said the feature will let users know how long it will take for their files to transfer.

The new file size limit is a big deal for WhatsApp users, because it was previously limited to sharing files up to 100 MB in size.

The ETA feature comes after WhatsApp rolled out the ETA (estimated time of arrival) feature for its Android beta users. Under the ETA feature, customers can share their real-time location with others, and will be able to see the other person’s location as well.
